HOW IT BEGAN


	In 2010, while our current Editor in Chief was earning her MA in English at the University of Bristol, new international friends began regularly asking for English advice. The ideas in their essays were complex and exciting! However, because of issues with English and academic writing, their essays were earning low marks. That year, with guidance from a second-language speaker earning his MSc in Business Management, Red Pen Bristol was born. Red Pen Bristol has now reviewed over 1000 essays and 400 dissertations, among other texts, for more than 500 graduate students around the world.
