1. CONFIDENTIALITY & OWNERSHIP OF MATERIALS
The work you submit to us remains yours in full. You, our client, retain sole ownership and control over all materials, including any documents subsequently created by our editors. Your work will never be shared or distributed to any individual or company outside of Red Pen Bristol.

2. PRIVACY
Client information is strictly used within Red Pen Bristol for organizational purposes. Your information will never be shared with outside individuals or companies.
 
3. PLAGIARISM IN SUBMITTED MATERIALS
We assume no liability for plagiarism in the content of submitted documents. It is the client's sole responsibility to properly research and include all acknowledgments and citations within the text. If we suspect a client has failed to do so, while editing we will add a comment to the text highlighting the issue. However, Red Pen Bristol is not responsible if the choice is made to use another author’s work within a text without a citation.

4. OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
All service types, fees, and return times are explained on the Services & Fees page. As we work dominantly with second-language writers, while we always strive for perfection, we cannot realistically guarantee it; however, we do guarantee significant improvement in every submission. We also guarantee that we will always re-edit or re-proofread any document that does not satisfy the client within the parameters of the service level description and/or the client's original instructions.
 
5. CANCELLATION POLICY
Proofreading and editorial services begin immediately upon receipt of payment. Therefore, once a payment is made, the order is finalized and cancellations are no longer possible.
